Some Days

Sunrise Hope
some days i want to live
some days i wish it’s over
some days i long to see
some days i wait to die;
some days i think i am fine
some days i believe i have a problem
some days i am strong
some days i am weak;
some days i am closer to truth
some days it seems far far away
some days i think i understand
some days i am just lost;
some days i just wish
everything would disappear
some days i just hope
you could be near;
some days i have a feeling
one day everything
will be alright
and that day is closer
than ever;

                Just wanna be with you

Written By: Praveen  |  Category: Love  |  Trackback  |  (40) Comments  |  92,336 views
valentine-heart
as the rains continue to batter,
standing on the balcony
i watch the rain drops
converge into one pool of water;
i wish you were here
standing next to me
in this rain soaked night,
holding hands, scheming of things pretty;
Wondering to myself, so late at night,
what is it that attracts me to you?
Thinking to myself, why are you always on my mind?
What power do you have in what you do?
thinking about where i stood,
i try to push you out of my mind,
but every time i push you out of my thoughts,
you crawl back into my world and fill my senses;
it’s so hard to keep smiling
and continue denying what i feel
i don’t know why,
a thousand reasons i have none;
i can’t go on like this,
i can’t pretend everything is fine,
when i just wanna be with you
hold you tight tonight and every night;

The simple lack of her is more to me than others’ presence.  ~Edward Thomas

                     Before I am dead!

Written By: Praveen  |  Category: Life  |  Trackback  |  (27) Comments  |  89,726 views
fear
waking up drenched in sweat
realizing it’s nothing but a nightmare
I get up to drink a glass of water
to drown the fear that woke me up!
sins I have done plenty
I do not know if the good I did is enough
to grant me a passage to heaven
or worse, born again as human;
never cared for what people thought,
never worried about those who left,
never a minute I spent crying over split milk,
what had to happen, had to happen!
what I was yesterday is what I am today,
yet people think I have changed, I wonder why!
I take life as it comes
no expectations and no demands!
with the guillotine waiting at every step,
uncertainty looms large over tomorrow,
I fear I need to live every moment
of today before I am dead!

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. – Anne Frank

Make my wish come true

Make my wish come true
searching for answers
that evaded me for so long,
i got lost in a maze of treachery
hidden under a mask of innocence;
it’s been so long
words kept me awake
all night long, making
me restless and confused;
drowning in the wishes
of a long lost past,
i let my life down,
i let myself down;
in the midst of the night
under the velvet skies
i surrendered to life
i whisper for forgiveness;
so with a smile on my lips
and a wish on my heart
i give faith(hope) one more reason
i give life another chance
to make my wish come true;

                  I Am Waiting

                                  Written By: Praveen  |  Category: Life
One, two, three, four, five,
ten, twenty, thirty, forty…
time ticks on slowly,
minute by minute;
as i pace up and down the corridor,
i cannot help wonder how long?
how much longer should i be waiting?Waiting for You
as i wait, the stars have come out,
and the moon shines bright,
and the cold wind brushes against my chin;
When you came into my life,
it was a dream come true,
two identical minds, joined together by fate
for eternity;
sitting here with a memory,
of you and me, of  the happy times and thesad ones,
the ups and downs, of passionate embraces and
tender kisses, loving words and romantic nights;
waiting, to hold you in my embrace once again,
the memories etched deep into my consciousness,
it’s been so long now,
so long that you have been gone;
gazing out of the window,
i am still trapped in this mortal body,
i wish i had wings and can fly,
to be in your arms;
as time keeps ticking forward,
wishing you were here and near,
but here i am waiting,
don’t know for how long;
silently holding my breath,
passing time with thoughts,
of us together,
here i am patiently waiting to join you in heaven;

Antony and Cleopatra, Act II, Scene II [The barge she sat in, like a burnish'd throne]
by William Shakespeare

Enobarbus describes Queen Cleopatra
Enobarbus: I will tell you.
The barge she sat in, like a burnish'd throne,
Burned on the water: the poop was beaten gold;
Purple the sails, and so perfumed that
The winds were lovesick with them; the oars were silver,
Which to the tune of flutes kept stroke, and made
The water which they beat to follow faster,
As amorous of their strokes. For her own person,
It beggar'd all description: she did lie
In her pavilion, cloth-of-gold of tissue,
O'erpicturing that Venus where we see
The fancy outwork nature: on each side her
Stood pretty dimpled boys, like smiling Cupids,
With divers-colour'd fans, whose wind did seem
To glow the delicate cheeks which they did cool,
And what they undid did.

Agrippa: O, rare for Antony.

Enobarbus: Her gentlewomen, like the Nereides,
So many mermaids, tended her i' th' eyes,
And made their bends adornings. At the helm
A seeming mermaid steers: the silken tackle
Swell with the touches of those flower-soft hands
That yarely frame the office. From the barge
A strange invisible perfume hits the sense
Of the adjacent wharfs. The city cast
Her people out upon her; and Antony,
Enthroned i' th' marketplace, did sit alone,
Whistling to th' air; which, but for vacancy,
Had gone to gaze on Cleopatra too,
And made a gap in nature.

Agrippa: Rare Egyptian!

Enobarbus: Upon her landing, Antony sent to her,
Invited her to supper. She replied
It should be better he became her guest;
Which she entreated. Our courteous Antony,
Whom ne'er the word of "No" woman heard speak,
Being barbered ten times o'er, goes to the feast,
And for his ordinary, pays his heart
For what his eyes eat only.

Agrippa: Royal wench!
She made great Caesar lay his sword to bed;
He plowed her, and she cropped.

Enobarbus: I saw her once
Hop forty paces through the public street;
And having lost her breath, she spoke, and panted,
That she did make defect perfection,
And, breathless, pow'r breathe forth.

Maecenas: Now Antony must leave her utterly.

Enobarbus: Never; He will not:
Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale
Her infinite variety. Other women cloy
The appetites they feed, but she makes hungry
Where most she satisfies; for vilest things
Become themselves in her, that the holy priests
Bless her when she is riggish.

As You Like It, Act II, Scene VII [All the world's a stage]
by William Shakespeare

Jaques to Duke Senior

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
